Nightcrawler's 12 count cup
Baitworms Lumbricus terrestris
Nightcrawlers are arguably the most popular choice of bait worm in the pet trade. They are also larger in size than most other bait worms measuring in at 9 to 12 inches at maturity. Nightcrawlers are an excellent food choice for your hungry turtle or amphibian. Species like Red Eared Slider turtles and Marine Toads will go bananas over these worms. And unlike worms you might collect in the wild, our captive raised worms are free from chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or parasites.
Caring for your Nightcrawlers
Nightcrawlers can be kept indoors at room temperature (Do not store in a refrigerator) and will eat all sorts of paper, cardboard, bread, fruits, vegetables, egg shells, and coffee grounds. (Please, no animal scraps of either meat or fish, and also no dairy products like cheese). And if you do set up your very own worm bin, not only will you be doing something good for the environment, but you will be making your own food source for your pet.
